Annual Parish Picnic
Sunday, September 7, 2008
Acorn Ridge, Huron-Meadows Metro Park
2:00pm start!
: : Welcome
We are a welcoming and inclusive community of faith where everyone is welcomed...we really mean EVERYONE! We are a congregation in the Episcopal tradition "joyfully growing, giving and serving in all ways in Christ." A place where all are welcome no matter who you are or where you are on your journey of faith. We seek to be a welcoming and inclusive church where there are no outcasts and all have a place at the table.
If you are looking for a spiritual home, we invite you to be a part of the community of faith that is St. Paul's. Join us as we journey with Jesus and as we sing a new song to God: the melody of a renewed community, the tune of our faith, with its vibrant heritage and radiant future.
: : Summer Worship Services 2008
For the months of July & August our service times will be 8:00am & 9:30am. The church is air conditioned and prayer conditioned and we hope you will join us to bask in the Son.
: : Regular Worship Services [September -June]
St. Paul's offers several opportunities for community worship throughout the year. Our main services of worship are on Sunday morning 8:30am & 10:30am. The fourth Sunday of every month is dedicated to prayers for Healing at both services.
+ 8:30am Service
Our early service is Rite II (contemporary language), and considered a more meditative service. This service is characterized by its focus on prayer and meditation without music and seeks to incorporate silence as a means of Spiritual reflection.
+ 9:30am Children's Service
Our children's service is offered on the first Sunday of each month, except in July & August. This service is geared primarily to young children and includes simplied readings, prayers and a child friendly sermon activity. Anyone is invited to attend the children's service.
+ 10:30am Service
Our second service is a multigenerational Rite II Service with hymns and sacred music. Musical selections at this service range from traditional hymns to contemporary music. Child care is provided during this service although children are encouraged to worship with their parents. During the summer a soft space is provided in the church for younger kids.
: : About Worship
We use the breadth of services
in the "Book of Common Prayer"
in the course of the year, as well
as services from "Enriching Our
Worship" and other parts of the Anglican Communion.
We gather as community, as longtime church members and newcomers to the faith. As we gather, we bring our diverse gifts, in the form of our most precious offering to God, our very selves, that all we do may be for God’s glory in the unity of Christ’s church.
Our parish is a diverse and welcoming congregation. It is the oldest
congregation in the community and has a solid tradition
of welcoming everyone.
We invite you to join us in worship as we celebrate the gift that is life in Christ.
